exploring canyonlands & arches national park
it's difficult to sum up a trip like this into a few sentences. let's just say that utah should be on everyone's bucket list.
with just two days to spend in moab, we immediately wished for more. we decided to devote more time to exploring canyonlands and dead horse point, and left a half day to check out the delicate arch in arches national park. the hike we chose in canyonlands was a local favorite called False Kiva, pictured here. it's not a well-marked trail, but after doing some research and a bit of backtracking we were able to find it, following scattered cairns to an incredible viewpoint. since it was a holiday, we had the entire hike to ourselves, which fed into the post-apocalyptic nature of the park.
you can't go wrong in moab. just go.
